Maria Hall, MAE, LIMHP, NCC
Maria Hall is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Provider who earned her Master of Arts in Education, with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Chadron State College in 2018. She completed her internship at the Child and Family Therapy Institute under the supervision of Kris Steinbeck, MS, LIMHP, NCC, and went on to complete her provisional supervision with both Kris and Matt Fosket, MA, LIMHP, NCC. Maria now collaborates as an Indepdenent Contractor with Matt Fosket Counseling LLC.
Maria works with clients of all ages—including children, adolescents, teens, and adults. She is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist (SPT) through the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute and offers specialized play therapy services for younger children. Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) is a research-informed approach that combines the healing power of play with nervous system regulation, interpersonal neurobiology, physics, attachment, mindfulness, and authentic connection between therapist and child. Using SPT, Maria partners with children in a process of transformation—helping them build a stronger connection with themselves, develop a healthy sense of self-worth, and safely work through and heal/repair challenging experiences. This process supports the creation of new, healthier patterns of emotional resilience and empowerment. Learn more on the SPT website.
In addition to SPT, Maria is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based approach designed to help children, adolescents, and their caregivers process traumatic experiences. She has also completed foundational training in Sandtray Therapy through the Grace Abbott School of Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
As a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and active member of both the American Counseling Association and Nebraska Counseling Association, Maria is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Her multicultural background gives her a deep appreciation for diversity, and she intentionally creates a respectful, inclusive environment for every client to feel valued. Maria recognizes that cultural differences can shape family dynamics and relationships, and she thoughtfully adapts her approach to honor each person’s unique background, values, and beliefs.
Maria has a special interest in supporting women through the aging journey—helping them navigate identity shifts, embrace self-compassion, and discover authentic self-expression. Passive bilingual in Spanish, she warmly welcomes Spanish-speaking clients.
